Ghattas G. Aouda, known as (Robert Aouad), 75 of Syracuse, NY, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, November 6, 2025. He was born on April 2, 1950 in Lebanon, Beirut to the late Gerges and Mansoura Aouad.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brothers, Khalil, Semaan and Tony Aouad.
Ghattas, also known as “Pops”, was a funny and outspoken man. He brought joy and laughter to all those around him. He spent a lot of time helping his friends, that became family at Sabatino’s in Syracuse. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his son and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Elissar Aouad; their son, Joseph (Samantha); three grandchildren; along with his brothers, Yousself, Bechara, Faraj, Miled Aouad and their families.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 from 9-12pm. Funeral Services will follow at 12. Burial will take place at North Syracuse Cemetery, North Syracuse.
