Giacinta Diana (Caracci) Cipollone, age 90, formerly of Carrick, died peacefully on February 2, 2025.
She was the beloved wife for 60 years to the late Vincent Cipollone.
Beloved mother of Vincent (Maria), David (Barbara), Rosanne, the late Paul (Caroline), Mary (Chuck) Cullison, the late Michael, Anna (Jeff) Hiner.
Also survived by her loving grandchildren, her great-granddaughter, brother, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Diana was a Pittsburgh Board of Education employee for 33 years, starting as a substitute clerk and retiring as the executive assistant to the assistant superintendent.
Her greatest joy in life was her family. Diana was an avid swimmer, swimming laps at Philips Park Pool, where she took her children and the neighborhood children to swim on summer evenings. She loved to garden and grew beautiful hydrangeas. Diana's love of nature never waned as the birds and trees and blue skies brought her joy into her last days. Diana befriended everyone she met.
There will be no visitation. Arrangements entrusted to Readshaw Funeral Home, Inc. 1503 Brownsville Road, Carrick.
