OXFORD- Gidget Gay Johnson Parrish, 56, of Henry Wilson Road, died Sunday, January 11, 2026 at her home. Born August 20, 1969 in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Rita Faulkner Boyd and Wade Johnson. She was formerly employed as a medical assistant in a doctor’s office.
A graveside funeral service will be held in the Faulkner Family Cemetery, 1760 Alert Rd., Warrenton NC, 27589 on Friday, January, 16, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. by Rev. Johnny Yount.
Gidget is survived by her husband, Eugene Parrish of the home; two sons, Daniel Parrish and wife, Ashley and Preston Parrish and wife, Ashley; four grandchildren, Nolan Parrish, Baylan Parrish, Makayla Parrish and Emersyn Parrish; a brother, Vance Johnson; and three sisters, Nicole Boyd Hall, Tiffany Stokes and Kristy Stainback.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Wallace Milton Boyd and her sister, Paula Murphy.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 15, 2026 from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the home of Daniel Parrish, 334 Raintree Lane, Kittrell, NC 27544.
