Gilbert Dwight Bailey

Mr. Gilbert Dwight Bailey, age 85, passed away Saturday morning, February 28, 2026, on his 85th birthday, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following a recent decline in health.

Mr. Bailey was born February 28, 1941, in Paradise, West Virginia, to the late William Silas Bailey and the late Opal Mae Wolford Bailey. He was a heavy equipment operator for many years and attended West Ward Church of God. He was also a member of Masonic Lodge 143 and a Shriner in Melborn, Florida, as well as Scottish Rite in Orlando, Florida, before he moved to Georgia. Along with his parents, Mr. Bailey was preceded in death by his daughter, Renee Bailey and his brother, William Bailey.

Mr. Bailey leaves behind five children: Dennis Bailey of Cocoa, Florida, Donald Bailey, Bobby Bailey, Regina Bailey and Rocky Bailey, all of Melborn, Florida; two brothers: Douglas Bailey of Melborn, Florida, and Gary Bailey of Cross Lanes, West Virginia; along with a number of nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Mr. Bailey's family is honoring his wishes for memorialization by cremation, and no services are scheduled at this time.
