Gilbert Allen Boyd December 9, 1937 – August 15, 2025 Gilbert Allen Boyd passed peacefully on August 15, 2025, at the age of 87, surrounded by family in Vancouver, Washington. Although his physical presence may no longer grace our lives, his spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us all. May his memory be a blessing, and may we carry forth his legacy of love and compassion in all that we do. He is survived by his wife, Margie, of 67 years; his brother Willis; his son Terry and his wife Diane, his son Todd and his wife Andee; his Grandchildren Karla, Ryan, Anthony, Erin, and Madison; and his Great Grandchildren Ezekial, Dominic, Violet and Theodore. Gilbert was preceded in death by his son Tracy, his brother Robert and his sisters Gladys, Joyce, and Barbara. Gil, as he was known to friends and family, was born in Las Angeles, California, on December 9, 1937 to Willis and Eva Boyd. As a young child he moved to southwestern Colorado where he spent his childhood years. Gil graduated from Leadville High School where he excelled in basketball. Those who knew Gil will remember him as a master in the hardware and industrial supply field where he was once honored as the regional "Salesman of the Year" covering five western states. He served as a wholesale representative for two major hardware distributors throughout the western US including opening and managing an industrial supply store. Gil's career culminated with operating his own True Value Hardware business along with Margie. Gil was widely known for his ability to solve problems and fix almost anything mechanical. He had a quiet nature, tireless work ethic, and an unwavering loyalty to his family and friends which he passed on to his Sons, Grandchildren, and Great Grandchildren. He cherished his role as a Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather and could often be found at sporting, musical and school events supporting his family and community. He embedded within his sons a passion for remodeling homes and living life in the great outdoors. Gilbert's final resting place will be the Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Vancouver, Washington.
