Gilbert J. Cisneros, age 84, died in Denver, Colorado on January 7, 2025. Born in Trinidad, Colorado he moved to Denver in 1958 with his mom and enlisted in the United States Army in 1959. He served in the Vietnam War as part of the 173rd Airborne Division and was honorably discharged in 1966. He returned to Denver, Colorado and married Patricia Ruby on March 28, 1970. He spent many years working in Denargo Market. He worked for Kings Soopers as a proud member of the Teamster Union for nearly 30 years in the produce warehouse and was fortunate to take an early retirement at the age of 58.
Gilbert loved to maintain a beautiful yard and garden. Every year he grew a wonderful vegetable garden and an array of beautiful flowers throughout his yard – he definitely had a green thumb. He loved history and was a very knowledgeable sports fan who enjoyed watching boxing, the Colorado Avalanche, Denver Nuggets, Colorado Buffs, and most of all his beloved Denver Broncos!
He was preceded in death by his beloved mother Teofila Blea and multiple siblings. He is survived by his wife Patricia Cisneros, children Gilbert R. Cisneros (Kathrine), Lorrie Cisneros, Jeffrey B. Cisneros (Jessica), granddaughter Harper, Rebecca Beyer mother of granddaughters Roslynn, Milania, Penelope and many dear friends.
