Gilbert "Allen" Alvin Davis, age 71, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2024 at his home. He was born on February 20, 1953 in Georgetown, KY, to the late Charles Claude Sr. and Alberta Davis. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Davis Jr., Roger Frank Davis and Colby Allen Davis.
He is survived by a son, Charles Davis; brothers, Mike (Janet) Davis, Donald (Charlene) Davis; sisters, Willetta Bryant, Marlene Ison; grandchildren, Chris Michael Johnson, Mary Elizabeth Yonts, Jacob Davis; five great grandchildren, Harper Johnson, Claire Johnson, Kayden Yonts, McKinley Yonts and Landon Ray Davis. Allen enjoyed the company of his family and friends, loved gardening, and cherished his dogs.
Services for Allen will be Monday, October 21, 2024, at 12:00 P.M. at Ware Funeral Home. Visitation will be the evening prior on Sunday, October 20, 2024, beginning at 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., also at Ware Funeral Home. Bro. Rob Stanley will preside over services and burial will follow at Battle Grove Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be, Jacob Davis, Chris Johnson, Kameron Yonts, Chris Northcutt, Jason Ison and Tim Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be Anthony Whalen, and Wayne Rose. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant Green Baptist Church, 387 Pleasant Green Rd., Cynthiana, KY 41031; or to Flora Shropshire Animal Shelter, P.O.
