Gilbert Netherton Obituary
Gilbert was born in Monroe County, Ky. He always offered a helping hand to anyone who was in need. Gilbert was a husband, Dad, granddad, great granddad and brother to many siblings.
He was a longtime hard working framer/sawman for Randy Shureck Construction.
Gilbert is preceded in death by his wife, Priscilla Netherton of 50 years; mother and father, Fowler and Versie Netherton of Monroe County, KY; sister, Charlene Lee; brothers, James, Dillard, Basil, Carl, Cart, Wilburn; and one great grandchild, Emilynn Martin.
Gilbert is survived by three sons, Russell "Scott" Netherton (Benita), David Netherton, Steve Netherton; eight grandchildren, Destiney Cook (Sean), Mariah Martin (Trenton), Jadedyn Bingham (Matthew), Syrieana Netherton, Devin Netherton, Derrick Netherton, Ryan Netherton, Andrew Netherton; four great grandchildren, Tymprynce Neal, Raelynn Netherton, Bentley Martin, Briella Bingham; three sisters, Dulane Moore, Kathlene "Kat" Bateman, and Maxine Woosley; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to be made to Stoess Funeral Home, or toRussell "Scott" Netherton to help cover expenses.
A memorial service will be held December 13th, 2025 at New Hope Baptist Church, 5705 Old Floydsburg Road, Crestwood, Kentucky 40014 beginning at 11 AM.
