Funeral service for Mrs. Anna Lee Netherton will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Caruth officiating. Interment Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation Wednesday after 10:00 A.M.
Mrs. Netherton, age 99 Lebanon passed away February 8, 2026, at Summit Medical Center in Hermitage.
Born December 5, 1926, in Smith County, she is the daughter of the late Luster B. “Shorty” Kittrell and Ovie Bell Holliman Kittrell. She had worked at Lux Time, and was a homemaker. She was most proud of receiving her GED when she was well into her sixties. Over the years, she had been very active at First Baptist Church in Watertown, First Baptist Church in Lebanon, and was now a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She enjoyed doing crafts, and was very talented in embroidery. She also was a very serious bingo player. She was a Charter Member of the Pavilion Senior Living. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Howard Netherton in December 2003, and a sister, Margie McGowan.
She is survived by nieces: Barbara Andrews and Linda (Anthony) Chappell; nephew, Willie B. (Patty) McGowan; 6 great nieces and nephews; 12 great great nieces and nephews; and special cousin, David Lee Kittrell.
A special thanks is extended to her caregivers, Tammy Ozment, Tammy Layne, Brittany Calderon, Mary Calderon, Lilian Martinez, and Barbara Rainey for their loving care.
