Gilbert Luis Solis

Gilbert Luis Solis sadly passed away on, December 31, 2023 at the age of 65.
Known to many as "Gebo" he was born, October 20, 1958 to Cruz and Cora Solis.
Gilbert is preceded in death by his dad, Capt. Cruz; sister, Barbara Jean Solis, and his four brothers who he has missed terribly: Richard Falcon, George Solis, Gene Solis and Patrick Solis as well as his spunky nephew, Martin "Chucky" Campbell Jr.
Gilbert will be sorely missed by his companion of 24 years, Denise Robino of Oyster Creek and her family, sons: Troy Robino and Ricky Hyde, daughter in law Christina and his pride and joy, granddaughter Haedyn; his dear mother, Cora Solis; and the last of the tribe: Joe Samora (Betty), John Solis, and Charlie Solis; two sisters: Jasmine Solis (Rocky) and Jessica Solis Garcia (Lonnie), all of Rockport. Uncle Gebo to many nieces and nephews as well as greats and an endless amount of cousins and friends who quickly became family.
Gilbert wasn't perfect, but he was definitely real. What you see is what you get. He loved with his whole heart and carried around the biggest bear hugs. His family and home were his prize possessions, and so was the love for his fur babies Butch, Chloe, Charlie, Sandy and his pretty bird, Chica.
He will be missed by all who knew him, especially his family.
Services will be held at a later date.
