Gilbert Louis Toffoli

Gilbert Louis Toffoli, a devoted husband, father, and respected business leader, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2025, at the age of 90. Born on February 20, 1935, in Miami, Florida, Gilbert was the cherished son of Louis and Avelina Toffoli, both of whom preceded him in death, along with his brother Raymond.

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Barbara; his sister, Gloria Diamond; and his children: Nicholas, Michael (wife Ann), James, Thomas (wife Debra), Robert, Daniel (wife Bonnie), Margaret, and Marie (husband Daniel). Gilbert was also blessed with grandchildren Elaine, Gina, Rachael, Liam, Samantha, Louis, Alexa, Noah, Lina, Siena, Jenna, and step grandchildren Laynie, Kaytlin, Kali, and Shane who brought him immense joy throughout his life.

Gilbert shared an extraordinary marriage with Barbara, his steadfast partner and best friend. Together, they built a beautiful family, which was his greatest joy and source of pride.

Gilbert graduated from Coral Gables High School and soon after stepped into a leadership role at American Terrazzo and Tile following the passing of his father. As President, Gilbert successfully ran the family business for many years, earning respect for his dedication, craftsmanship, and integrity. His work was a reflection of his commitment to excellence and his deep sense of responsibility.

Gilbert was a devout Catholic whose faith guided him throughout his life. He will be remembered for his unwavering devotion to his family, his strong work ethic, and his kind and generous spirit.

A private service will be held at a later date.
