Gina (nee Ragusa) Giunta, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2025 at the age of 96. Born on November 30, 1929, in Paterson, Gina was a cherished daughter to the late Salvatore and Guiseppina (nee Gulino) Ragusa and was the last surviving of their ten children, having seen her nine brothers and sisters precede her in passing. They include: Chet Ragusa, Jack Regusa, Ann (nee Ragusa) Baccola, Feo Ragusa, Ninfa Ragusa, Frank Ragusa, Joseph Ragusa, Carmen Ragusa and George (Ragusa) Rondo.
Gina was the beloved wife of Neal Giunta, who predeceased her on September 28, 2016. Their union was a testament to enduring love and partnership. She leaves behind a legacy through her devoted son, Michael Giunta, and her caring daughter, Angela Tekirian and her partner, Ron Barrington. Gina was a guiding star to her grandchildren, including Christopher Tekirian and his wife Kim, and Danielle Pifano and her husband Cesar. Though she endured the loss of her grandson Shane Giunta, she was still close with her granddaughter-in-law Melissa Saccone.
Her great-grandchildren, Alexandra Tekirian, Chase Pifano, Tyler Giunta, Hunter Pifano, Mackenzie Tekirian, Kylie Giunta, Christopher Tekirian, Jr., Clay Pifano, and Lilly Pifano, will forever cherish memories of their great-grandmother's generosity and warmth. Gina was also a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in her heart.
Gina's life was one of service and joy. As a homemaker, she dedicated her life to creating a nurturing home for her family. Born in Passaic, she was a longtime resident of Clifton having lived there since 1953. She was a former parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church in Passaic. Her faith was an integral part of her life, as evidenced by her active involvement in various church committees. More recently, Gina attended St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church in Clifton.
An avid bowler, Gina's competitive spirit and friendly demeanor made her a favorite among her peers. She was also an undisputed champion at Jacks & Marbles, where her skill and playful nature shone brightly. Gina's interests and activities were a reflection of her loving, kind, and generous spirit.
Gina's life was a tapestry woven with the threads of compassion, friendship, and unwavering faith. Her presence was a gift to all who knew her, and her memory will be treasured forever. As we bid farewell to Gina Giunta, we celebrate a life well-lived and a soul that enriched the lives of many. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love will continue to inspire those she has left behind.
