Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch
Gina Denise Taylor, 62, of Byhalia, MS, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2022 at her home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch (6815 Parkview Blvd., Olive Branch, MS, 38654). A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Autumn Woods Memorial Park. Bro. Oscar Geeslin will officiate the service.
Gina was born on May 4, 1960, in Memphis, TN. She was a member of Meadow Brook Baptist Church and worked as a Dental Assistant at Family Dentistry of Olive Branch under Dr. Gregory Evans. Gina looked forward to going to work every day. She was raised on the lake, and was known as a tomboy. Gina enjoyed swimming, camping, and snake hunting. Her father always called her the son he never had. She loved all kinds of animals, but was especially a dog lover. Gina always said what she was thinking, and you knew where you stood with her. She was known as the life of the party and would give you the shirt off her back. Gina was loved by many and will be truly missed.
Gina is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Randy Taylor, Sr. of Byhalia, MS; daughter, Mandy Crawley (John) of New Albany, MS; son, Randy Taylor, Jr. (Shannen) of Southaven, MS; sisters, Donna Kuhn of Hardy, AR, Becky Abrams of Desoto County; eight grandchildren; sister-in-law, caretaker, and best friend, Lori Taylor of Olive Branch, MS; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Gina was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Jo Anne Edwards.
In lieu of traditional flowers, memorial contributions can be made in honor of Gina Denise Taylor to the Alzheimer's Association (https://www.alz.org) or to your local animal shelter.
Online condolences may be left on her Tribute Wall at www.colemanfuneralhome.com.
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.
He restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness
for his name's sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies;
you anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord
forever.
Psalm 23:1-6
