Ginger Boyd

Ginger Boyd was born on Wednesday, January 26, 1949, in Columbus, Ohio. She was born to Peggy Morrison and Ervin Boyd. God called her home on Sunday, February 12, 2023, at age seventy-four.
Ginger, who was also known as "Gin," attended East High School. Later in life, she earned her GED. Gin continued her education at Columbus State Community College and Ohio Christian University. She earned an associate degree in human services from Ohio Christian University. Gin was employed with Community Housing Network for 10 years. She loved fashion and enjoyed helping her friends and family dress. As a result, Gin volunteered at Dress for Success. She was offered a part-time position at Dress for Success; however, she became ill and was unable to accept the position.
Gin was a giving, caring, classy, beautiful woman, both inside and out. Ginger enjoyed traveling and experiencing life. She had the opportunity to travel to Jamaica and other cities throughout the United States. Nothing was more important to her than spending time with her family and friends. She loved reading, hanging out, talking, laughing, and watching movies. Ginger was a testament to the human strength and power to persevere through any trail or tribulation. She embodied this by holding on to the motto, "lead with love first," and everything will work out. Ginger loved fiercely, fervently, unconditionally, and unwaveringly her entire life.
Ginger is welcomed home by her mother, Peggy Morrison; and father, Ervin Boyd; sister, Glenda Boyd; brother, Allen Boyd; nephew, Sean Boyd.
Ginger leaves her nephews and nieces to cherish her memories; Lisha Boyd, Michael Boyd, Tyhisia Reed and Ricky Newton; great nieces and nephews, Anthony Jones, Jr., Laneisha Taylor, Kay'lin Boyd, Shavonna Boyd, Mercedes Green, Pauly Davis, Dominque Brown; great great nieces and nephews, Island Marie Broomfield, Mi'rique Boyd, Onisty Martin, Sean Boyd, Jr., Sean Boyd III, Kre'sean Boyd, Michael Boyd, Jr., My'Kalah Boyd, Sii'yor Boyd; Soul Sisters; Sandra Coleman and Deborah Pounds.
With a person like Ginger there were many she loved and many that loved and supported her too. Unfortunately, we cannot list them all. Just remember, we love and appreciate you all. Gin will be missed by her family and friends.
