Ginger Leigh Owens

Ginger Leigh Owens, 57, of Tilden, IL; born on April 10, 1968 in Sparta, IL, the daughter of Bobby Gene and Constance Rae (née, Glasscock) Higgins; passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at home surrounded by her loving family.

She married Leonard Owens, Sr. on July 3, 1996 in Chester, IL. Ginger worked as a certified nursing assistant for many years. She was also a merchandiser for driveline serviced Dollar Generals.

Ginger is survived by her loving husband of 29 years – Leonard O. Owens, Sr. of Tilden, IL; mother – Constance Rae Higgins; six children – Tammy (spouse, Leslie) Johnson, Kelly Martin, Leonard (spouse, Meghan) Owens, Heather (spouse, Matthew) Fred, AJ (spouse, Kimberly) Williams, Bobby (spouse, Gabrielle) Higgins; nineteen grandchildren – Shelby (spouse, Brandon) Renner, Zach (spouse, Kristen) Hall, Gailen (spouse, Taylor) Hall, Bradly Johnson, Jessica (spouse, Jarod) Lyons, Angela Johnson, Tyler Owens, Taylor Owens, Tre Morgan, Isabella Richardson, Matelyn Fred, Lane Fred, Bow Williams, Arrow Williams, Damien Williams, Angela Williams, Justice Williams, Tanner Misbauer, and Emry Higgins; four great grandchildren – Brentley Renner, Jaxson Renner, Zoie Hall, and Stetson Hall; five siblings – Larry (spouse, Carrie) Higgins, Bobbi Boyer, Lewis Higgins, Becky (spouse, Kevin) Ferguson, and Norman Higgins; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father; mother-in-law – Valada Owens; stepfather – Harold Sykes.
