Ginny Engle Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ingram Funeral Home - Marysville from Jul. 29 to Jul. 30, 2025.
N Virginia (Ginny) Engle passed away peacefully on Friday, July 25, 2025. Ginny was born on July 8, 1953, in Mount Vernon, Ohio, and attended Licking Valley High School. While she grew up in Ohio, she eventually moved to Winchester, Kentucky, where she met her late husband, Jack E. Engle Jr. Ginny was quite adventurous. In her early 20s, she made several trips to Oregon, where both of her sons were born. She loved the outdoors, nature, history, true stories, and enjoyed reading and yard sales. Ginny had a knack for redecorating entire houses with finds from yard sales or thrift stores. She loved to look good but was never afraid to get her hands dirty. She proudly helped her dad rebuild an engine and could change a tire. Ginny also enjoyed cleaning houses, finding satisfaction in tackling the dirtiest of jobs. Ginny had a strong work ethic and a deep love for her children. She worked in tobacco barns, cleaned houses, and always took on overtime. She loved home projects, from redoing wallpaper and painting to laying new flooring and building flower beds. She was immensely proud of her children and grandchildren and was excited to become a great grandma. Ginny is survived by her children: Mike (Jeanette) Lagace, Melissa King, and Brian (Erica) Pinney; her grandchildren: Andrea (Gary) Sterling, Mike (Meaghan) Lagace, Jacob (Justina) Lagace, Caleb (Dakota) King, Sarah King, Alyssa (Justin) Huffman, Bethany Pinney, and Ethan Pinney; and her great-grandchildren: Amelia, Barrett, Camden, Ellie, Riley, Lyla, Emma, Karson, and Spencer. She is also survived by her sisters Sue Pierce, Mary (Richard) Watkins, and Helen Ballman, along with many nieces and nephews. Ginny was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Engle Jr.; her father William (Bill) Ballman; her mother, Betty Frye Ballman; her brother, William (Rick) Ballman; her sister, Julie (Ballman) Williams; and great granddaughter, Charlotte. An intimate graveyard service will be held Friday, August 1 at 11:00 am. Winchester Cemetery, 625 W Lexington Ave, Winchester Ky. The family will receive friends and family at Michael and Jeanette's home; 220 Gemini Road, Georgetown Ky. Ingram & Snyder Funeral Home is honored to serve Ginny's family, and condolences may be expressed to them at www.IngramFuneralService.com.
