Gino Nicholas Bruno, age 91, of Parma, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 9, 2025, surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Ann (née Zerial) for 64 years. Loving father of Lisa Platten, Jean (Robert) Wells, and Michelle (Vince) Konopka. Cherished grandfather of Ryan (Sarah) Platten, Jonathan (Natalie) Platten, Timothy Platten, Jacob (Natalie) Konopka, Katie Konopka, Aidan Wells, Madelyn Wells, and Olivia Wells. Proud great-grandfather of Mason, Evie, Nora, and Callahan. Dear brother-in-law to William Zerial and Father-in-law of Timothy Platten.

Gino was the son of the late John and Raffaella Bruno, and the brother of the late Maria (Tito) Vergilii and Eleanor (Bob) Pilck.

Born in Joliet, Illinois, Gino proudly served in the United States Army. He worked as a head custodian for Cleveland Metropolitan Schools for 33 years, and after retiring, continued his career as a stationary engineer at NASA Glenn Research Center for 9 years. He was a longtime member of the Duca Degli Abruzzi Lodge 217 / KSKJ Life Lodge.

Gino was a man who enjoyed life and the people around him. His favorite activities included playing softball, bowling, golfing, and playing chair volleyball with friends at the YMCA. He served as a volunteer “Red Coat” at Playhouse Square for 10 years and loved traveling the world. Above all, Gino cherished dancing with his wife, Ann.

Gino’s family is grateful to the Hospice of Western Reserve and the VA for their care and support during the last months of his life. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Hospice of the Western Reserve, www.hospicewr.org.
