Joan Lillian Bruno (95) of New Milford passed away on February 12, 2026. Born in Union City, NJ on December 2, 1930, to Frank & Adeline Mazanec. She is predeceased by her brothers John (Jack) & Frank Mazanec as well as her sister Dorothy Tribastone & her twin sister Lorraine Mazanec. She was raised in Hudson County New Jersey. She was married in 1950 to her husband Charles C Bruno for 62 years. Charles passed away in January of 2013. Joan & Charles had five children together: Stephen (Diane), David (Kathy), Charles (Regina), Daniel (Maureen) & Lorraine (Karsten). She spent most of her early years as a homemaker & was eventually employed by a company called Sponge Clean. Shortly after leaving there, she then became the bookkeeper for her husband's business Charles Bruno Tire Company where she stayed employed with her husband & son Charles until retirement. Some of her favorite hobbies included listening to Barbara Streisand & Frank Sinatra, reading, walking outside, shopping & laughing. She always looked forward to family visits with a home cooked meal or having a great conversation over a cup of coffee or tea with something sweet. She also enjoyed being outside & spending as much time with her family as possible. She was blessed by having 13 grandchildren: (Late) Michael Bruno, Stephanie Campbell, David (Megan) Bruno, Joseph (Sladjana) Bruno, Vincent (Alexis) Bruno, Charles (Caryn) Bruno, Michelle (Joel) Del Valle, Nicole (Joseph) Lovenguth, Kyle (Patricia) Bruno, Danielle Bruno, Lauren Bruno, Kasey (Marissa) Grabe & Karli Grabe & 16 great grandchildren Gianna Campbell, Sophia Campbell, Emma Bruno, Mia Bruno, Jake Bruno, Ryan Bruno, Vivienne Bruno, Luke Bruno, Henry Bruno, Ariella Del Valle, Joel Del Valle, Leilanie Rodriguez, Amelia Bruno, Nora Grabe, Baby Girl Bruno ( Charles and Caryn) May 2026 & Baby Boy Grabe (Kasey and Marissa) July 2026.
