Born in Messina, Sicily in the village of Itala. In 1939 she left with her family for Asmara, Eritrea Africa and had very fond memories of the years they spent there. Eventually returning to Itala. At the age of 15 she along with her family came to the United States. She attended and graduated from Cambridge Latin. She met and married the love of her life Pellegrino DeGuglielmo. They planted their roots in Watertown where they raised four Children. They were active members of the St. Theresa's Couples Club, where they made lifelong friends.
In addition to being a homemaker, Jane had several jobs that she loved. Her most memorable were New England Telephone in West Newton and The Marshall Home in Watertown. Jane loved her life in Watertown and on The Cape in Sandwich. Jane was so proud of her husband, children and grandchildren. Jane touched the lives of many with her spirit, generosity, and genuine warmth. She approached every interaction with sincerity and empathy, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Jane had a remarkable ability to uplift those around her, offering comfort and support during both the brightest and darkest of days. Her genuine smile will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to experience it.
She was happiest when spending time with the entire family and friends. Her attention to detail was a testament to her remarkable character. She had a knack for making every occasion special, effortlessly infusing love and care into everything she did.
Cooking was not just a passion for her; it was a form of expression, a way to show her love for those around her. Her culinary creations were not only delicious but also made with a generous helping of love and care. She took immense joy in preparing meals for her family and friends, and nothing brought her more happiness than seeing the smiles on their faces as they enjoyed her delicious dishes...she truly was the BEST.

Dear Jane - Thank you for being my dearest & longest friend; as we met for the 1st time in out international classroom under Ms. Maquire - and we became friends forever. Of course later as you laid eyes on the love of your life, Pelligrino, you became part of our family and we loved you even more. Jane, we´ll miss you deeply but never forgotten. Peace be with you. Love, sister in law Enrichetta.
