Nancy Contilli Obituary

Nancy was known for her quick wit, sense of humor, and strong spirit. Her love for her children and grandchildren was evident, and she showed them affection every chance she could. She was always equipped with snacks, toys, and words of encouragement. Her grandchildren adored her.
Nancy had a big heart. She provided comfort and reassurance to anybody who needed it. Her ability to listen and offer support was only out weighed by her ability to talk nonstop for hours. She loved a good joke or riddle. She was known to always have a Kleenex up her sleeve.
A proud Italian and lifelong night owl, she enjoyed watching old movies, 60s music, playing Po-Ke-No, Bingo, and Italian pastry. Her clam sauce and meatballs were legendary and friends and family often showed up with take-home containers in hopes of receiving leftovers, if there were any.
The family would like to extend its sincerest thanks and appreciation to the Mount Auburn Hospital Oncology Department for the care and comfort provided especially by Nancy's Oncology nurse, Denise Natalie, and all the nurses, doctors and staff who were by her side right up to the end.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit the DeVito funeral home, 761 Mount Auburn St., Watertown on Wednesday from 5 PM to 8 PM and her funeral mass on Thursday at 10 AM at St. Luke's Church, Belmont. Please go directly to the church. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital. Please visit devitofuneralhome.com to view an online guestbook.
