Giovannina Loiola

Giovannina Loiola, a longtime resident of Beacon, entered into rest on November 28, 2025. She was 91 years old.

Born on October 27, 1934 in Casalciprano, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Cristinziano and Teresa Ramundo Antonecchia. In 1957 she married Armando Loiola who survives at home.

After moving to Beacon from New York City, Giovannina became a devoted daily communicant of St. Joachim Church. Her faith and devotion were central to her life. She cherished her family deeply and was an exceptional gardener and cook. The ingredients she grew in her garden often found their way into the delicious meals she

lovingly prepared for her family. She was also a devoted caregiver to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, nurturing each generation with unwavering love.

In addition to her husband, Giovannina is survived by her daughters, Rosa Tebano and her husband, Domenic and Teresa Stevens and her husband, Rod; her grandchildren, Guido, Michela, Nina and Eric; her great-grandchildren, Louie, Ava, Gia, Celine, Domenic and Nico; her brothers, Donato and Alessio Antonecchia; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Concetta Brunetti.

Family and friends will gather on Friday, December 5 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Riverview Funeral Home by Halvey, 2 Beekman Street, Beacon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 6 at 10 a.m. at St. Joachim Church, 51 Leonard Street, Beacon. Entombment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Newburgh.
