Girard E. Passanante

Girard E. Passanante, known to those who loved him simply as Jerry, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2025, at the age of 94. Born on April 13, 1931, in Philadelphia, Jerry lived a full life defined by quiet strength, unwavering loyalty, and deep devotion to family.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rita, and his cherished son, Jerry. He leaves behind a legacy of love through his daughters, Tina and Rita, his grandchildren-Lauren, Brittany, Bryana, Marissa, and Christian-and his great-grandchildren-Brandon, Gianna, Mila, Evie, and Bo. In his later years, he was fortunate to find companionship with his lady friend, Rita.
Jerry spent the majority of his career at Honeywell, where he earned a reputation as a tough but fair boss. Those who worked with him respected his no-nonsense attitude and integrity. Outside of work, Jerry was always willing to lend a hand-whether it was helping with a side job or offering a cold Ortlieb's beer from the front steps of his Arbor Street home.
A man of few words, Jerry made his words count. His quiet presence spoke volumes, and his love and guidance will continue to echo through the generations he helped shape.
He will be remembered with deep love by all who knew him-as Dad, Pop, and GPop. Rest easy, Jerry. No one earned it more.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Saturday, September 13th from 9 to 10am at the Maternity BVM Church, 9220 Old Bustleton Avenue, Phila PA 19115. His Funeral Mass will follow at 10am. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham, PA.
