Palmer- Gisele Denise (Tremblay) Mongeon, 85, of Palmer, passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Baystate Wing Hospital in Palmer.
She leaves behind her daughter, Denise M. Rosen and her husband, Bruce, of Bear Lake, MI; her daughter, Michele Smith of Chicopee; her beloved grandchildren, Derek Rosen, Monique Smith, and Elijah Smith; her brother, Marcel Tremblay and his wife, Francine, of Alma, Quebec; her sister-in-law, Nicole Tremblay; as well as her many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Robert N. Mongeon, on April 6, 1977; by her daughter, Monique Mongeon; by her brother, Rosaire Tremblay; as well as by several of her other brothers and sisters from Canada. She was born in Alma, Quebec, daughter of the late Emile and Yvonne (Bergeron) Tremblay.
Gisele was the proud owner of Gisele’s Beauty Shop in Warren for 28 years. She then went on to assist her daughter, Michele at First Impression in Warren for many more years. She was very much involved in many ways with St. Thomas Aquinas Church in West Warren, then later even more so involved with St. Paul’s Church in Warren. She was in charge of putting together several recipe books and fundraising with her famous Canadian meat pies, which were loved by all. She enjoyed cleaning and serving for the church as well. In her spare time, she also enjoyed sewing, crafts and cooking for everyone – she could always be found cooking.
A Funeral Mass for Gisele will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at 11:00 am in St. Thomas The Apostle, 1076 Thorndike Street, Palmer, MA 01069. A Calling Hour will be held immediately prior to mass, from 10:00 am – 11:00 am in church. Those attending the calling hour and/or mass and are kindly asked to meet directly at church. Burial will be held in St. Paul Cemetery in Warren, following mass.
