Giselle Evans, a resident of Au Gres, Michigan since 2009, formerly a 23-year resident of Southgate, Michigan, passed away at her home on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at the age of 71 years. Giselle was born on April 11, 1954 in Hull, Quebec, Canada to the late Conrad and Estelle (Auprix) Burelle. After her family relocated to Downriver-Detroit area, Giselle attended and graduated from Robichaud High School in Dearborn Heights. Throughout her career, she worked in several different capacities before officially retiring in 2008. She enjoyed working as a seamstress, her involvement with church administration, and jewelry sales. However, above all, she was most proud of the many years staying at home while loving and raising her three children. Giselle was an active woman and thrived on staying busy. She enjoyed sewing, doing a wide variety of crafts, photography, and creating beautiful handmade quilts for her family.

Giselle is survived by her beloved husband and best friend, Jack Evans, who she married on April 18, 1975. They celebrated 50 beautiful years of marriage just this year. She is also survived by her 3 loving children, Stephanie (Kyle) Wilhite, Joe (Brandy) Evans, and Chris (Lisa) Evans; 9 grandchildren, Ky, Hannah, Ella, Drake, McKenna Wilhite; Andie and Axel Evans; Mia and Max Evans; 1 sister, Diane (Gary) Evans; 1 brother-in-law, Edwin Tank; 1 sister-in-law, Irene Burelle; nieces and nephews, AnnMarie; Heather, Jon; Michelle; Ernie, Michelle, Debra, James, David; Christine, Jimmy; many cousins and dear friends. Giselle was preceded in death by her parents, Conrad and Estelle Burelle; 1 brother, John Burelle; and 1 sister, Lise Tank.

Per her wishes, cremation has taken place, and her family will celebrate her life during two separate memorial services.

The first service will be on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at Christ the King Lutheran Church on Trenton Rd. in Southgate, Michigan. Her family will welcome friends for a time of fellowship at 10:00 am. The service will begin at 11:30 am.

The second service will be on Friday, September 26, 2025 at the Good News Ministries Lutheran Church on M-65 in Whittemore, Michigan. Her family will welcome friends for a time of fellowship at 10:00 am. The service will begin at 11:00 am.
