Giuseppe D'Amato passed away on March 15, 2025 with his family by his side at the age of 95 in North Salem, NY. He was born on October 18, 1929 in a little town called Terlizzi Bari, Italy to the late Pietro D'Amato and Giuditta Tempesta.
Giuseppe married the love of his life Serafina Spadavecchia in Italy and had three beautiful daughters. They moved to the United States in the 1970's to give his family a better life. Giuseppe and his family lived in the Bronx, NY for 20yrs. He worked as a Mason. He retired in Stratford, CT with his love Serafina.
He is survived by Giuditta Di Savino (Nicola) of Brookfield, CT, Susanna Di Mattia (Giuseppe) of Brewster, NY, Cecilia Di Filippo (Rocco) of North Salem, NY. Six cherished grandchildren Silvia, David, Rocco, Joseph, Marco, and Amelia. Two great grandchildren Stella and John.
Calling hours will take place on Friday March 21, 2025 from 4-8pm Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, 21 West Stevens Avenue, Hawthorne, NY and a mass of Christian burial at 10am at Holy Name of Jesus Church, 2 Broadway, Valhalla, NY 10595. Interment will be Ferncliff Cemetary in Hartsdale, NY.
