Giuseppe Senerchia

Giuseppe Senerchia, of New Rochelle, New York, passed away on January 24, 2024 at the age of 88.
Giuseppe was born on January 16, 1936 to the late Antonio Senerchia and Carmela (Corvino) Senerchia in Andretta (AV), Italy. In 1956, Giuseppe immigrated to Switzerland to master the skills of his masonry trade. Within a short time, he advanced to foreman due to his talents and abilities. He married his childhood sweetheart, Isabella (Cosmo) Senerchia, in January of 1963. Having waited three years for a visa to come to America, Giuseppe rejoined his wife in January of 1966. After working in construction and as a member of the Bricklayers Union, Giuseppe went on to build a masonry partnership, Masenca Associates, in 1976. In his constructive nature, he expanded his skills to fit the needs of any project which came his way. He could be counted on by co-workers, family, friends, and neighbors.
In order to keep his cultural ties to his native hometown, Giuseppe was one of the founding members of the Comunità Andrettesse Club, now the Andretta Cultural Society. He held various positions throughout his 40+ years of membership. Giuseppe enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. This included traveling home to Andretta, making wine, working in his vegetable garden, and tending to his fruit trees.
Giuseppe is survived by his loving wife, Isabella; children Anthony (Andrea) Senerchia and Frances (Frank) Lanzetta; grandchildren Christopher, Nicole (Meco), Nicholas, and Isabella; and great- grandchildren, Eva and Meco Jr. Giuseppe is also survived by his sister, Michelina Mancuso, brother Domenico (Maria) Senerchia, and many nieces and nephews.
