Glade Lantz Obituary
Glade Herman Lantz passed away peacefully following a short stay in the hospital in Temple, TX. He was 96 years old and lived in Rockdale since 1978. Glade completed high school in Franklin, Pennsylvania, and earned a degree in chemical engineering at Grove City College. He served briefly in the army after the Korean War and then settled into work at Alcoa. He was at Alcoa for 44 years and retired from there at age 66. He married Lois Schumacher on June 21, 1958, and they had 4 children(Carl, Martha, Susan, and Eric). They spent time travelling around the world when Glade worked for Alcoa in Australia.
He is preceded in death by his sister Doris Lantz Hughes, his brother Raymond L. Lantz, his eldest son Carl Lantz, and his wife Lois. He is survived by his children, Martha Lantz (Mark), Susan Maldonado (Bernardo), and Eric Lantz (Brenda), his 4 grandchildren (Maria, Sarah, Dani, and Alyssa) and 4 great grandchildren (Andre, Emilia, Dominique, and Rami), and his late in life partner, Patricia McKee of Rockdale.
The memorial service will be held on January 31st at 3 pm at the First Presbyterian Church in Rockdale, Texas.
Instead of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to the First Presbyterian Church of Rockdale, Texas
