Gladly J. Blaine, age 89 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 8:20 pm on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Per his wishes there will not be any services.

Gladly was retired from River Cement in Festus, MO, was a member of the Church of Christ faith, and served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.

Gladly is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mary (Martin) Blaine; daughters, Debbie Turner and husband Gary and Pam Stewart; son, Brian Blaine and wife Tina; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Gladly was preceded in death by his parents, Galen and Odessa (Croft) Blaine; son-in-law, Clay Stewart; sister, Galena Dalton; father-in-law and mother-in-law, William G. and Mary C. Martin

Memorials may be made in Gladly's name to Happy Hearts, 701 Pearl Street, Metropolis, Illinois 62960, New Hope Baptist Church, 6804 New Columbia Road, Grantsburg, Illinois 62943, or First Baptist Church, 307 Massac Creek Road, Metropolis, Illinois 62960.
