Gladys Ann Pendley Jordan of Spruce Pine, NC passed away on June 26, 2025 at The Greens of Spruce Pine. She was the daughter of the late Herbert Guy and Violet Tolley Pendley.
Gladys loved to work in her flowers, listen to gospel music and watch "Down Home Gospel" every Saturday evening on TV. She also loved listening and watching Preacher Darrin Waldroup preach at church.
In addition to her parents, Gladys was preceded in death by her husband Homer Jordan; sons Stanley and Phillip Jordan; daughter Mary Young; grandchildren David Jordan, Allen Young, and Michael Ollis; a great great granddaughter Ava Jayne Young.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Della Sparks (Dennis), Phyllis Young (Lee), Sherry Flynn and Son Kenneth Jordan; five grandchildren Stephanie Byrd, Brandon Young, Ben Young, Dustin Jordan and Shyann Flynn; brothers Arthur Herb Pendley; sisters Glennie Roper and Mary Lou Medley; sixteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren and beloved dog Nemo.
Services for Mrs. Jordan will be held on Monday June 30, 2025 at 3:00 pm at the Chapel of Webb Funeral Home in Spruce Pine, NC with Rev. Darrin Waldroup officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until the service hour. Burial will follow at Pendley Cemetery.
