Gladys M. Kolb

Gladys M. Kolb, nee Moore, age 98, of Burr Ridge, beloved wife of the late Gordon Melvin Kolb; loving mother of William E. DeWitt, DDS (Lee) and late Robert Curtis DeWitt; cherished grandmother of Kimberly (Brian) Denny, Ronald Kincaid, Eric DeWitt, Nicole Baran, Kelly Funk, Sandra Heslin and Chad DeWitt and the late Leigh Marie Hannigan; dear great-grandmother of many; preceded in death by her sister Dakota Beets and brother Alfred Moore. As the consummate corporate wife, Gladys was known for her gourmet culinary skills and an in vitiation to dinner was much coveted by vice presidents of General Motors. She held cooking classes for many of their wives through the years. Her very professional craftmanship abilities were sought after by many charitable organizations to raise funding for churches and the United Way and in several states. Known by so many, her quick wit and compassionate heart will be missed by all who had the privilege to know her. Funeral services and interment are being planned for a later time.
