Tupelo—Gladys Eulene Mann passed away Saturday, July 12, 2025 at her home in Tupelo. She was 90 years old. Gladys was born on July 7, 1935 in Hamilton, Alabama to Grady and Ethel Feltman Parmer. After her high school graduation, she married Roy Mann Sr. in 1952 and they celebrated 64 years together before his passing on March 17, 2017. Gladys worked as a key punch operator for Central Service, retiring after many years of dedication to her career. She was a member of Priceville Baptist Church where she made lasting friendships with the ladies in her Sunday School Class. They enjoyed frequent fellowships and class outings together. Earlier in her life Gladys could often be found reading a good book or listening to her favorite Southern Gospel music. She was devoted to her family and loved each moment she spent with them.
She leaves behind two children, Roy Mann Jr. and his wife, Claire of Tupelo and Labrenda Coleman and her husband, Danny of Dyersburg, Tennessee; grandchildren, Jacob Lee Mann, Amber Lynn Mann, Brent Coleman and wife, Whitney, Seth Coleman and wife, Alexis, Sara Depew and husband, Dan, and Marci Pruzina and husband, Kyle; her sister, Imarie Hughes; her brother, Winford Parmer and wife, Joan; brother-in-law, Thomas Mann and wife, Patricia; 13 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; and three brothers, Grover Parmer, T.G. Parmer, and Wexford Parmer.
Visitation will be 5 until 7 p.m. Monday, July 14, 2025 at Pegues, Tupelo.
Services honoring Gladys’ memory will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at the Jefferson Street Chapel of Pegues with Rev. Chris Carter officiating. Special music will be provided by Marci and Kyle Pruzina. Burial will be in Auburn Cemetery.
