Gladys Oaks Masters, age 90, of Corbin, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2025, at The Heritage Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility.
She devoted her life to homemaking, creating a sanctuary filled with love and laughter for her family. Her dedication to Steele's Chapel Christian Church reflected her strong faith, the cornerstone of her life. Gladys was a beacon of light and love, always there with a comforting word or a gentle hug.
She was preceded in death by her husband, L. Lloyd Masters; parents, Leslie and Martha Jane Rogers Oaks; two sisters, Flossie Huff, and Lorene Goodin; brothers, Charlie, Glenn, and Jim Oaks, and a son-in-law, Mark Durbin
Gladys is survived by her three children, Connie Click, John David Masters, and Donna Lacey; grandchildren, Will Click (Diana), Jake Click (Katie), and Emily Rose Lacey; stepdaughter, Debbie Hammond (David); and five step-grandchildren, Brian Lacey, Stephanie Smith, James Smith (Danielle), Brian Durbin, and Jessica Durbin.
Visitation will begin Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 10:00 AM. at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM., with Bro. Andrew Darden officiating.
