Gladys Marie Moody was born June 1, 1947 in Marshalltown, Iowa. She was the oldest of three children born to Francis and Bonnie (Prescott) Moody. Gladys grew up in Marshalltown and attended Marshalltown schools.
Gladys was united in marriage to Wilford "LeRoy" McDonald on August 4, 1963. From this union they had four children, Norman, David, Bonnie, and Malinda. Gladys and LeRoy eventually divorced and she was later married to Richard Reynolds. From this union came a blending of families which Gladys welcomed with open arms. Gladys became a Certified Nurse's Aide and took up nursing positions in Arkansas and Florida. She additionally held a director of nursing position while they briefly lived in Florida. While Richard and Gladys were married, they primarily called Arkansas home and this was one of her favorite places to live. Richard passed away and Gladys and LeRoy re connected and would eventually become united in marriage for a second time on May 12, 2007. They remained together until LeRoy passed away in 2009.
In her free time, Gladys loved to play her computer games. Additionally, she would take anyone to Bingo that was willing to go. She had a soft spot for babies and loved to hold them whenever she could. Most importantly, she loved spending time with all of her family.
Those left to remember and cherish her memory are her children, Norman (Valerie) McDonald, David (Laurie) McDonald, Bonnie (Mick) Martin, and Malinda (Joey) Lutes; 12 great step children who she gladly called her own; over 30 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Steve Moody, Kevin Gross, and Mary Moody alongside numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, LeRoy McDonald and Richard Reynolds; her parents, Francis and Bonnie Moody; her siblings, Linda Wallen, Pat LeMaster, and Marla McDonald; and granddaughter Katie and great-grandson Greyson.
