Cambridge – Gladys Madora Packard, 93, went to be with her Lord and Savior August 27, 2025, at Northern Light Mayo Hospital in Dover-Foxcroft. She was born December 27, 1931, in Ripley, the daughter of Robert and Annie (Gallagher) Neal. She worked for many years at Dexter Shoe Company in Dexter. Gladys was an active member of the Cambridge Baptist Church and was a member and longtime president of the Cambridge Co-operative Extension. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many.

Gladys is survived by her husband, Arthur Packard of Cambridge; son, Alton Quimby and his wife, Gloria of Ripley; daughter, Vicki McKenney and husband, Dale of Parkman; son-in-law, Terry Gourley of Cambridge; eight grandchildren, George, Gavin, Brock, Philip, Alicia, Chris, Melissa, and Delylah; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Patsy Gourley; first husband, George Quimby; second husband, Philip Pease; granddaughter, Natarsha Gourley; and four brothers, George Greaves, Sheldon Neal, A. Maurice Neal, and Clayton Neal.

A memorial service will be held 11AM Saturday, September 20, 2025, at the Cambridge Baptist Church with Pastor John Pillsbury officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Cambridge. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home. Messages of condolence and memories may be expressed at www.laryfuneralhome.com.
