Gladys Ann Patterson, age 57, of Cleveland, TN, passed away unexpectedly October 3, 2025. Born November 4, 1967, in Chicago, IL, Gladys found her heart's home in the beautiful Tennessee Mountains, where she fell in love with the scenery and the community. A proud mother of two, she dedicated her life to raising her children, Alex Patterson and Angela Chism, with unwavering love and support.
Gladys had a passion for creativity, often spending her free time making beautiful jewelry, drawing, and coloring. Her artistic spirit was matched only by her love for the outdoors, where she enjoyed swimming, camping, and exploring the natural beauty that surrounded her. Her warmth and kindness resonated throughout her life; she never met a stranger and always greeted everyone with a smile.
Gladys leaves behind a loving family, including her beloved grandchildren: Holly, Kylie, Johnathan, Chad JR Alachi, and Korbyn. She is also survived by her Mother, Linda Studnicki; Stepfather, Chet Studnicki; Sister, Jamie Smith; Daughter-in-law, Tasia Patterson; and Son-in-law, Chad Chism. Many cousins, aunts and uncles and one niece and one nephew. Gladys will be remembered not only for her nurturing soul but also her humble and sweet nature.
As we celebrate Gladys's life, her family will gather to honor her memory and share the joy she brought into their lives. The family invites friends and loved ones to join in remembrance and reflection Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Companion Funeral Home, Ridge Chapel.
