Gladys Eileen Searfoss

Gladys E. Searfoss, age 76 of Harveys Lake, passed away Monday, October 6, 2025.
She was born in Wilkes-Barre on November 4, 1948 and was the daughter of the late William H. and Elsie K. Jones.
Gladys graduated from Dallas High School, class of 1966. She worked for the Dallas Post before getting married to her husband, Richard. Gladys later earned her degree as a medical assistant working in a doctor's office until her retirement. She loved baking, decorating, and entertaining her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Conrad Higgins and William D. Jones.
Gladys is survived by her husband of 58 years, Richard; daughter, Jeri Close and her husband Daniel; brother, Jerome Jones and his wife Sally; sister, Heather Jones; stepson, James Searfoss; stepdaughters, Deborah Blockus and Doreen Koshinski and her husband Eugene; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 10, 2025 at 11:00 AM from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Rev. L.D. Reed of the Emmanuel Assembly of God Church, Harveys Lake, officiating.
A Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Kocher Cemetery, Lake Twp.
