Glancele Albertha Smithen died peacefully on March 25, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was 91.
The daughter of the late Albert Bratwaite and Mary Brewley, she was born on June 29, 1931 in Road Town, Tortola, British Virgin Islands.
She was predeceased in life by her husband Stanley Smithen and son Clayton Smithen.
Beloved mother of Celestine Morris her husband Granville of Port Jervis, Christella Smithen of Port Jervis and Curly Smithen with his wife Oriear of Florida. Cherished grandmother of Tujuana, Sherheba, Shantasha, Shantesha, Tedre, Shagani, Tushana, Tyshon, Zion, Jahgana and Gannika. Great grandmother of 3. Special daughter by love Margaret Hutton. Dear sister, aunt and cousin to many.
Reposing Sunday April 2nd from 2 to 5:00PM at the KNIGHT-AUCHMOODY Funeral Home 154 East Main Street Port Jervis NY 12771. Following the visitation Glancele will be repatriated to her native Tortola to be interred in the Smith Family Burial Ground, Duffs Bottom.
