Mrs. Glaydelle York Weaver

Mrs. Annie Glaydelle York Weaver of Royston, GA passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2015, at the Brown Health & Rehabilitation Center in Royston, GA. Mrs. Weaver was born in Royston, GA, December 23, 1927, daughter of the late Ralph Plumer York and late Lillie Mae Atkinson York. She was retired from the University of Georgia School of Social Work and attended the Vanna Business School. Mrs. Weaver was a member of the Royston Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Weaver was preceded in death by her husband, Joe J. Weaver; and son, Joe David Weaver. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Joy Weaver Merrow and Erik Amundson of Raleigh, NC; son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Angie Weaver of Hartwell, GA; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren; sister, Geneva Viera of Royston, GA; brothers, Edward York of Bonaire, GA, Richard York of Rome, GA, Teddy York of Martinez, GA and Rudy York of Royston, GA. Funeral services for Mrs. Weaver will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 26, 2015, at the Royston Baptist Church with Rev. Jonathan Barlow officiating. Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Royston, GA. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at Pruitt Funeral Home in Royston, GA. The family is at their respective homes. Pruitt Funeral Home in Royston, GA is in charge of arrangements.
