Glen Arnold Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Thomas Funeral Home - Corydon on Jan. 22, 2026.
Glen Dean Arnold was born in Williams, Iowa, on April 11, 1940, and passed away on January 20, 2026. He grew up on the family farm with his parents, Harold and Dolly Arnold, along with his siblings Harry, Roger, Sally, Chuck and Patty. He married Rosemary Elaine Malaise on October 7, 1962, in Woolstock, Iowa. Together they raised three boys, Tony Dean, Michael Glen, and Randy Lynn, living on farms in both northern and southern Iowa before settling on their farm south of Humeston in 1984.
Throughout his life, Glen worked hard providing for his family in any farm-related occupation he could find before settling in on his own land where he continued to work on the farm even after "retiring" in 2019. He loved everything about farming, but his favorite things to do were mowing and raking hay and combining. He did custom work along with raising cattle and pigs throughout the years. Glen was a true outdoorsman; coon, deer and hog hunting were his favorites along with fishing. He was an expert in wildlife, animals and mushroom hunting. He was known in the family for always getting stuck and often tearing up machinery. Glen was a helpful neighbor and never knew a stranger.
Glen was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Harry and Roger, infant sister Janet, and several brother and sister-in-law's. Left to mourn him are his wife, Rosie, sons Tony (Kim) Arnold, Mike Arnold, and Randy (Tami) Arnold, brother Chuck (Marilyn) Arnold, sisters Sally Pierce and Patty (Jack) Vasey; sister-in-law, Norma Arnold; grandchildren, Danielle (Aaron) Hogland, Nicole Arnold, Troy (Chandler) Arnold, Chet Arnold, Molly Arnold, and Cali Arnold and his first great-grand daughter due in February.
Funeral Services for Glen will be held Saturday, January 24, 2026 at Thomas Funeral Home in Corydon, IA with interment to follow immediately after at Lewisburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held an hour prior from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM. Memorials in honor of Glen made be made out to Rosemary Arnold to be determined at a later date and mailed to Thomas Funeral Home Attn: Arnold Family P.O. Box 294 Corydon, IA 50060.
