Gordon Williams Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Thomas Funeral Home - Corydon on Feb. 4, 2026.
Gordon Gene Williams, 81, of Corydon, Iowa passed away on February 1st, 2026 at Southern Hills Specialty Care.
Gordon was born in Ringgold County, Iowa, on January 13th, 1945 to Kenneth and Jessie (Bowen) Williams. Gordon received his education at Grand Valley Community School in Kellerton. While in high school, he met his beloved wife Cleta, whom he married on October 19th, 1963. This union led to two sons, Lonnie and Les, and almost 62 years of marriage.
Gordon always had an interest in history and cars, and loved traveling across the United States as a long-haul truck driver. He visited most of the continental United States in his truck with Cleta, who was also his business partner. They ran their trucking business together for over 40 years. Gordon also loved spending time with his family - many weekends were spent with his sons and grandchildren on trips, building projects, and family cookouts, as long as they were together.
Gordon is survived by his son, Les (Raquel) Williams; grandchildren Corissa Williams, Bradley Williams, Cody (Jessica) Stark, Tyler Williams, Cynthia (Danny) Mireles, Jeraldine (Pablo) Mireles, Jorge (Paola) Mireles, and Kevin Estrada; sister Glenda (Junior) McNeal; great-grandchildren Valeria, Brandon, Aylin, Damien, Madeline, Carson, and Alejandro.
Gordon was preceded in death by his wife, Cleta, parents, son, Lonnie, and in-laws Myles and Opal Mark.
A celebration of life will be held for Gordon on March 21, 2026 at the Walden Park Community Building beginning at 10:30am, with a luncheon to follow. Please join the family to celebrate Gordon's life. Memorials may be made to the family in honor of Gordon to be determined at a later date and mailed to Thomas Funeral Home 303 E. Jefferson Corydon, Iowa 50060 Attn: Williams Family. Condolences may be shared on our website at www.thomasfh.com or facebook.com/thomasfuneralhome
