Glen Michael Calkins Jr

"Jr." was born on December 4, 1968 in Santa Ana, California to Glen, Sr. and Jacquelyn Achtemeier Calkins. He went to be with our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at Mentor Cluster in Pensacola, FL at the age of 54 years, 2 months and 4 days. He was baptized in 1978 at Bible Baptist Church in Lincoln, Nebraska. Glen was able to go to ARC Gateway where he enjoyed working on pottery for a short time. He enjoyed attending Campus Church from 1994 until he became a resident at Florida Mentor Cluster in 2016. He enjoyed the beach, being with his family, his church family and his pets.
II Timothy 4:7 says "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith." Glen certainly fought his whole life through pain and suffering and God saw him through to the end. To God be the glory.
Glen is preceded in death by his grandparents, Dorothy Ellen and Orville Henry Achtemier; Lois Merlene Calkins and Glendale Alexander Calkins; and his uncle, Richard Keith Calkins.
He is survived by his parents, Glen Michael Calkins Sr. and Jacquelyn Lynette Calkins; his brother, Joseph Scott Calkins; his aunts, Kitty DeBoer (Richard), Kathy Kaup (Earl), Patty Meek (Doug); and his uncles, Brian (Carol) Calkins and Kevin (Kathy) Calkins.
