Glen Rowland Goodwin

Glen Rowland Goodwin, 93, of Centerview, Missouri, passed away peacefully at his home Wednesday, February 12, 2025.
He was born September 19, 1931 in Centerview, Missouri the youngest son of Frank and Adabelle (Repp) Goodwin. Glen and his wife Catherine (Cathie) shared 57 years of marriage and raised a family together. He was a lifelong Johnson County resident, and spent his life farming on the family farm with several generations of the Goodwin family. Glen proudly served as the Western County Commissioner for Johnson County in 1980s and early 90s. He enjoyed being on his farm, gardening, and his family as well as the many dogs he had called friends throughout his life. Glen was known as a jokester, and always had a humorous comment ready to share.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Catherine (Cathie); his sons Ronnie Goodwin (Teri) of Warrensburg, MO, Jimmy Goodwin, Warrensburg, MO, and a daughter, Beth Floyd (Craig) of Chariton, IA ; Eight grandchildren, Jamie (Matt) Juarez, Brian Floyd, Kimberli Goodwin, Jacob Goodwin, Johnny Goodwin, Katie Kirkbride (Levi),Caroline Smith (Nick), Kellyn Smith,; five great-grandchildren; Isaiah, Christian, Alex, Adriana, and Lilyana; two great great grandchildren, Romeo and Benny as well as many nephews, nieces, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Garnett, a sister, Francis Goodwin WIlliams, and a brother in law, Wilton Williams.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 am Saturday, February 22nd at Williams Funeral Chapel in Warrensburg, MO. Pastor Jeff Gray officiating. Internment will follow at the Centerview Cemetery, Centerview, MO. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Williams.
In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions can be made to the Amy Jo North Scholarship Fund in care of the Warrensburg School District.
