Paula Ann McCully, 77 of Warrensburg, Missouri; longtime resident of the Waterloo, Iowa area passed away Thursday, August 14, 2025 at her home near Warrensburg.

Paula Ann McCully was born April 4, 1948 in Waterloo, Iowa the daughter of Paul Moline Saunders and Mary Lou (Deits) Saunders. She graduated from Orange High School in Orange Township, Iowa and subsequently graduated with an Associates Degree in Accounting from Hawkeye Institute of Technology in Waterloo. Paula was united in marriage to Darrel L. McCully on June 11th, 1966 in Waterloo at Grace Brethren Church. Paula was a Radio Receptionist with KWLO and KOKZ. In 2009, the couple moved to the Warrensburg area. She loved animals especially her cats and dogs and had a green thumb, growing many beautiful houseplants.

Survivors include her loving husband of nearly 60 years, Darrel; two sons: Joseph McCully (Nicole) of Montour, IA and Dustin McCully of Warrensburg, MO; sister: Lou Ann Saunders-Hyland (Steve) of Windsor Heights, IA; three brothers: Mark Saunders (Roberta) of Manheim, PA and Mike Saunders (Rhonda) of Vinton, IA and Ricky Saunders of Jasper, AR; five grandchildren: Lisa Estrada of Marion, IA; Heather Richardson of LeGrand, IA; Traci Jo Woods (James) of Plainfield, IA; Jenna McCully of Marion, IA; and Preston McCully of Waverly, IA; two step grandchildren: Dillon Sauerbry of Dyersville, IA and Emma Jean Sauerbry of Marshalltown, IA; and nine great grandchildren with another on the way. Paula was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Christopher.
