Glen Lillard Watson - age 85 of Loudon County, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2024 at his home with his wife and family by his side. He loved the Lord with all of his heart. Glen and his wife were missionaries for many years. They took Bibles into many countries that didn't allow them so that the gospel could reach those searching. He and his wife had a great love for the country of Albania and the great people who live there. They started a church ministry that grew to be a wonderful family to them as well. Glen had a vision to get milk cows to the villages to help feed and nourish the families. He never wanted them to go without. Glen was able to share his testimony with other churches in the Lenoir City area as well as churches in Greenville, Kentucky, and they would help Glen and his wife, Sheila, with finances to help in their ministry. He retired from being a supervisor at large power plants all over the US and even in Iran. His family was able to travel with him so that lead them on a wonderful adventure in life. Glen and his wife also owned their own construction company. He was a very hard worker, and loved to farm and garden. But most of all he loved God and his family.
Glen was preceded in death by his parents, Mack and Mamie Watson; children, Mike Watson, Glen Jr. Watson and April Summers; brothers and a sister. He was one of 15 children. Survived by his loving wife, Sheila Watson; children, Jerry Watson (Becky) of Inverness, Florida and Glenda Pierson (Bill) of New Smyrna Beach, Florida; daughter-in-law, Pam Watson of Greenville, Kentucky; grandchildren: Erika, Michelle, Chris, Tyler, Brian, Angelica, and Destiny; great-grandchildren: Cayden, Callie, Keagan, Madison, Lorenzo, Dezaya, Maasai, and Alyssa; great-great grandson, Colson; sisters: Janice Cole, Trula Zecco, Lois Holder, Annette Morgan and Brenda Starritt along with many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1p.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 9th at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. We will then proceed to Lakeview Cemetery for graveside services and interment.
