Glenda Farb Obituary

Glenda Fay Farb, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on June 25, 2025, in Houston, Texas. Glenda lived a life full of love, generosity, and dedication to her family and community.
Born in Houston to Alta Fay Baskin and Weldon Pool, Glenda later moved to Dallas with her mother and stepfather, Eugene Fant where she attended and graduated from Greenhill School in Addison in 1966 and attended Sullins College in Bristol, Virginia.
A gifted landscaper, creative home chef, and devoted mother, Glenda was also a lifetime member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, most recently earning lifetime status with the Lamb & Goat Auction Committee. Through her work with the Fant Family Foundation, she helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for Texas youth since 2002.
She is survived by her daughter, Tiffany Orion Buchanan of Houston, TX; son, Albert Farb of Dallas, TX, and his husband, Gage Picotte; grandchildren, Michael Buchanan Velasquez, Alec Orion Velasquez, and Zoey Nicole Sadeski; brother, Richard Fant (Houston, TX) and wife Jana; sister, Gina Fant-Simon (Dripping Springs, TX) and wife Shari; step-sister Nancy House (New Braunfels, TX); step-brother Robert Fant (Savannah, TN) and dear friends Brenda Conley and Eddie Pearce of La Marque, TX.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 17 at 1:00 PM at Bering United Methodist Church of Christ, 1440 Harold St, Houston, TX 77006. More information is available at www.dettlingfuneral.com. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Lamb & Goat Auction Committee.
