Glenda Faye Giddens, age 59, of Columbus, Georgia, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2025, at the Columbus Hospice, after a courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer. She was born on August 24, 1965, in Columbus, Georgia, to Ida Hall and Sylvester Giddens.
Glenda's life was defined by love, resilience, and devotion to her family. She was a proud and dedicated mother to her three children: Chryshonda (Mikkel) Barrett, Dallas Giddens, and Jermichael Giddens. She especially treasured her role as a grandmother to seven grandchildren: Kyntravious Giddens, De'Arius Barrett, Armani Giddens, Jeremiah Giddens, Jayden Barrett, Dajon Giddens, and Bre'el Giddens.
She is preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, Susie Cannon, and her granddaughter, Jermiaya Giddens.
Glenda is survived by her parents, Ida Hall and Sylvester Giddens; her longtime companion, William Butler; her four sisters, Brenda Giddens, Priscilla Jackson, Sharon Tolbert, and Tonya Giddens; her children and grandchildren, who were the joy of her life; and a host of extended family and friends who will cherish her memory.
Glenda will be remembered for her strength, kindness, and unwavering love for her family. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
