Giddens, Thomas Lovett Jr.

86, of Tampa, FL, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2025, with his wife, Harrison, by his side. Born on February 26, 1939 in Valdosta, GA to Celeste Stump Giddens and Thomas Lovett Giddens, Tom attended the Georgia Institute of Technology. He graduated from Mercer College with a degree in business administration. He was a member of the ATO fraternity. Following a career in banking, Tom and Harrison owned their successful Tampa floral design business, Floral Impressions, for over 30 years.

Tom was active in many community and civic groups, including Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla, the Tampa Yacht and Country Club, the University Club of Tampa, the Rotary Club of Tampa, and St. John's Episcopal Church.

Tom is survived by his wife of 48 years, Harrison Flynn Giddens; daughter, Helen Suzanne Johnson (Trever); stepson, Frederic Jordan Woods III; and granddaughter, Nicole Giddens. He is predeceased by sons, Thomas Lovett Giddens III and Charles Thomas Giddens; as well as stepdaughters, Emily Harrison Woods and Augusta Wilson Woods.

The family deeply thanks the Suncoast Hospice Burgundy Team and beloved caregiver, Velle Reyes.

Family and friends are invited to join a Celebration of Life on July 31 at 5 pm at the family home. A private memorial service will take place at a later date.
