Glenda F. Gray was born on October 5, 1966, in Philadelphia, Mississippi, to her late parents Glen Moore and Lillie Clemons. She was raised in a Christian household and accepted Christ at an early age.
During her childhood, Glenda moved with her mother and siblings to the South Suburbs of Chicago. She attended Rich East High School in
Park Forest, Illinois, and proudly graduated with the Class of 1984. She was blessed with her first son, Russell Clemons, on April 7, 1985, whom she loved and adored.
On January 26, 1986, Glenda met the love of her life, Curtis Gray. After three years of courtship, they were united in marriage on February 9, 1989. Together, they made their home in
Park Forest, Illinois, where they shared love, laughter, and countless memories until God called Glenda home. Their union was blessed with two beautiful children, Kiara Gray and Kamden Gray.
Glenda was career-oriented, driven, and an overachiever in all that she did. She dedicated 22 years of service to Elisabeth Ludeman Center as a Rehab Workshop Instructor II (Because It's Levels).
Outside of her professional life, Glenda enjoyed shopping, traveling, and spending quality time with her beloved grandchildren, who affectionately called her Graneo. She loved cruising and was especially fond of visiting Las Vegas, one of her favorite destinations.
On November 1, 2025, Glenda was welcomed into Heaven's gates by her parents, Glen Moore and Lillie Clemons, and her two brothers, James Green and Johnny Greer.
She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband, Curtis Gray; her children, Russell Clemons, Kiara Gray, and Kamden (Daniela Gray Rojas Duran); four sisters, Diane Clemons, Carolyn Donald, Yvonnia Thompson, and Patricia Clemons; twelve grandchildren-nine from Russell, one from Kiara (Onjrae Gray), and two from Kamden (Catalina and Jaiden); and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, and friends who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.
Glenda's life was a testament to love, family, faith, and perseverance. Her light will continue to shine through all who knew and loved her.
