Glenda Sue Harper, age 89, of Davis, Oklahoma, passed away on August 15, 2025. She was born on July 1, 1936, in Davis, Oklahoma, to Lee and Loris (Ferris) Thomasson. Glenda graduated high school in 1953 and soon after married the love of her life, Thomas "Sonny" Harper, in 1954 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. She worked at Seeton Drug in Sulphur for 14 years, Spindle Wholesale for 12 years, Walmart for 20 years, and Diacon Hardware for 10 years. She enjoyed reading romance novels and was well known for cooking Sunday dinners, which became a cherished tradition for her family. The highlight of her life was spending time with her family and friends. Glenda will be remembered for teaching her family to love everyone they met. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas "Sonny" Harper; her son, James Harper; and siblings, Neda Russell, Wilma Hughes, Beverly Pence, and Ronnie Thomasson, and Eva Meador; great grandson, Lelynd Deaton. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Tommy Harper; sister, Gail Johnston; grandchildren, Cody Harper, Christy Deaton and husband Phillip; great grandchildren, Leah Deaton and Justice Deaton and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Green Hill Cemetery in Davis, Oklahoma.
