Our beloved Mother, Glenda Faye Johnson, passed away at her home on February 17, 2026, at the age of 66. She lived a life defined by radical kindness and an unwavering devotion to her family. She was born to the late George and Nellie Preston in Louisa, KY. Her home place is located on Tadpole Road where her roots originated from and where she will also be laid to rest. She never met a stranger, and would welcome you with open arms. She would give you the coat off her back even if it was the only one she had and she would always have a pot of coffee ready and offer to sit and drink a cup to anyone who visited. She was a faithful Christian and loved the Lord and her family dearly.

She is preceded in death with her husband Bennie Joe Johnson and her mother and father, George Thomas and Nellie Shirley Preston. Her greatest work wasn't a job, or her love for the outdoors and gardening buth the Love she instilled in her family and loved ones.

Survivors include two daughters, Rachel (Adam) Meade from Louisa, KY, Angela (Wade) Lemaster from Louisa, KY, her son, Philip (Alisha) Spears from Ashland, KY; seven grandchildren, Joshua Meade, Katy Spears, Ashley Spears, Tyler McComas, Mandy Lemaster, Shirley May Lemaster, and Jack Meadows Jr. and three great grandchildren, Calvin Blackburn, Haisley Marie Blackburn, and Bentlee Meadows. Two sisters Frances (Ronnie) Smith from Blaine, KY, GayLynn (Jimmy) Mills from Louisa, KY and two brothers, George Michael (JoAnn) Preston from Louisa, KY, Richard Preston from Louisa, KY. Her daughter's childhood best friend Casey Laney and her son, Lincoln Whitt, who she loved dearly as one of her very own. And many nieces and nephews who she loved deeply. Although her soul is with Jesus, the warmth of her Love remains in every heart she touched.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday February 21st at noon at the Wilson Funeral Home with Dr. Charles Price officiating. Burial will follow in the Preston Cemetery at Blackberry Hollow Road Louisa, Kentucky. Friends may visit the family on Friday February 20th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home.

Care for Glenda and her family has been entrusted to our family at Wilson Funeral Home.
